Shawn hadn't talked to anybody in years. He hasn't seen any of his sister's children ever since he left Eastport, Maine to try and find happiness. He hasn't talked to his parents in five years. And he wasn't there when it was his eighteen year old niece's funeral. Why? Because he's trying to find happiness. And you know what, he's not happy.

Then his daughter came along all the way from Florida. Only fourteen years old and already asking questions and hating her father. She's had friends and boyfriends, and even girlfriends. And she absolutely loves faking: faking smiles, faking love... faking happiness. Yes, Claire was just like her missing father in so many ways.

So when Shawn tries to rekindle his broken relationship with his daughter, how will it turn out for the pair of treasure hunters?
