The future is smoggy and industrial, and because of rising tides and raging storms humans have been forced to live in skyscraper cities that float in the oceans. As a result, most of the population has never seen land. But when a young man called Bodhi meets a distant relative and is invited to take a trip on his fishing boat, his life is bound to change forever--and with it, so may the world.

First Arend Vitalis found a robotic weapon created by God. Then he fell in love with her. Next, he realized he wanted to destroy the world, and watch as everything around him died. An indeterminate amount of time in the future, the apocalypse has come and gone - and only humans remain on the earth. After the disaster known only as the Collapse, the extremely small population clings to life in ruined cities thanks to advanced technology. In a world blanketed in wastelands, existence is but an empty shell of what it once was, and time continues unabated. A boy in this age has looked around himself and seen only hopelessness and sorrow. After years of inner struggle, he has finally come upon the conclusion that humanity is destined only for destruction, and that he wants to witness this end. Soon afterwards he comes across the power of God himself and must decide if the human race deserves salvation and rebirth - or if he will bring about its end with his own hands. Only he can say if humanity deserves salvation, or if time will grind to an eternal halt.
