Robert is alone, but that's not the problem. He likes to live this kind of life.
He likes to be alone and has fun like that.
The biggest problem is that he can't find a reason to commit suicide.
He sees no point in life. Generally it is extremely boring, only sometimes funny, but it seems endless, without a purpose.
It seems to him absurd to do so, out of nothing, without a reason. This way it is likely to provoke others to seek reasons for his suicide.
If he does it, must leave a note in which his arguments were articulate. Simply out of boredom is not going to be enough.
So he decides to look for credible reasons!
