Inspired by a real life story.
***************************
The names are fictitious, the places are imaginary, the dates are fake, but the story - a real one.

This is the story of a little boy who grew up losing the most precious parts of his life. It is the story of a broken brother, a shattered son and a heartbroken soul within which lived a golden heart.

No matter how hard life knocked him out, he always stood up with a wider smile. Yet, little by little, he stopped believing in a better life. He placed all his faith in the last words his mother said.

"The worst thing about life is that it wasn't meant to be easy. And the best thing, perhaps, is that life itself is temporary. It all ends someday - the day you breathe your last."

WARNING : Abuse and trigger scenes present. Read with risk and get ready for an emotional suspense thriller journey with tissue boxes [Started on 2020, Rewritten and Republished on 2024] "I married you, but that doesn't mean you can control my life," he growled in anger. I flinched at his harsh voice, tears forming in my eyes. "For the world, you will be my wife, but in reality, you are nothing to me." My last hope of mending this relationship shattered into pieces. "Listen very carefully: never dare to raise your voice at me. Understood?" I nodded slowly. "And only answer me if I ask you something. Is that clear?" His tone was dangerously low. Feeling scared, I nodded without looking at him. "Look at me when I'm talking to you." He put his finger under my chin and raised my head. His eyes were full of arrogance and cruelty. My vision blurred with each passing second. His grip on my chin was strong and painful. "Now answer," he ordered in a husky voice. "Ye-Yes," I replied in my shaky voice. ☆_____☆ A girl who believes in true love and soulmates. A boy who has lost his faith in love and soulmates. He is fire. She is ice. They say betrayal never comes from your enemies. I used to think that was just something people said to feel better about their broken hearts. Until mine shattered too. The night it happened, everything changed. I lost my best friend. I lost my boyfriend. But worst of all... I lost myself. It's funny how a single moment can split your life into before and after. Before, I was the girl who believed in love, in loyalty, in forever. After, I was the girl standing in the ruins of what used to be her world, gasping for air, screaming into the silence, wondering why. Why me? Why now? Why them? So, I ran. Packed what was left of me and left the pieces behind-what else could I do? I moved cities. Moved in with my cousin. I told myself I needed a break, a fresh start. I told myself I wasn't looking for anyone. I was here to rebuild, quietly, carefully. Just me and the pain that still lived under my skin. But then... I saw him. At the club. Dark suit. Brooding eyes. Hands in his pockets like the world bowed at his feet. He didn't just walk in; he owned the room. The kind of man who didn't need to speak to be heard. I didn't know his name. I didn't know his story. But I felt his eyes on me like a touch that burned. He was power. He was danger. He was everything I told myself to avoid. But as fate would have it, the man who never chased anyone... noticed the broken girl who stopped believing in love. And maybe-just maybe-he'd be the one to help me believe again. This is the story of how I broke... And how he found every shattered piece.

Pihu Dubey grew up in the quiet shadows of her father's world - a world where loyalty, old friendships, and family ties mattered more than dreams. The jewel in this world was Akash Randhawa, the son of her father's best friend - dazzlingly handsome, brilliantly successful, and heir to a multi-billion-dollar empire. For as long as she could remember, Akash had been the silent, distant star she had built her world around. But Akash had dreams sculpted by power and prestige. In his polished life of glittering parties and impossible standards, there was no room for the simple, steadfast girl who loved him from afar. To him, Pihu was nothing more than the "little sister" from family gatherings - kind, invisible, and entirely unlike the women he pursued. As Pihu blossoms into a woman, her heart remains shackled to a hope that Akash might one day see her - really see her. She battles silent heartbreaks, moments of cruel indifference, and the slow ache of watching him love others while never even glancing her way. "The Heart That Waited Alone" is a tender, aching journey through unspoken love, the agony of waiting, and the silent courage it takes to love someone who may never love you back. Will Pihu's silent devotion ever find its echo - or will her heart remain a lone flame in a world too bright to notice her gentle light? **************** Rankings: #1 Adultromance (06/07/2025) #4 Indianstories (06/07/2025) #6 unrequitedlove (06/07/2025) #11 onesidedlove (06/07/2025) #21 billionaire (06/07/2025) #24 heartbreak (06/07/2025)
