"I have never kissed you, Trace, what do you mean?'
"Yes, you have. Like on occasion. That first night we met, for Pete's Sake, Richard, have you forgotten?"
He frowned. "Those have not been real kisses. Pecks, brushes, not real..."
"Well," she said pragmatically. "Even if we do kiss on set, for the film audience, not like that's real either." This was a bad hour, the thought flicked through her mind. She shouldn't be up right now, sitting on the counter, with him so close, so....
He leaned toward her. "Maybe we should practice." His voice was that very soft, very sexy screen voice she'd heard him use in several movies. He watched her as he got closer, watched for the sign that she would stop him. Watched for her pulling away, she didn't.
Was she thinking about Raine? Was she caught up in the moment? Could she really feel for him what he felt for her? Richard felt his world rocking. Was this the tell-tale moment when it all came crashing down?

-- PROLOGUE "Let me get this straight. We have nothing in between us, except for the deal we made that day" he spoke in a monotonous tone. "I am the one carrying your name behind me; we are married. how can you say we have nothing in between us? Huh" She yelled at him, tears blurred her vision, and she spoke her heart to him. "For god's sake, this marriage was to save you! Can't you get that? I did not do it willingly, I do not love you!!" He yelled back at her, shattering her heart into pieces. "Why can't you just love me?" She spoke, as she cried the tears of hurt, and pain. Her heart thumped loudly due to the shivering sensation She felt all over her body. "I never made a commitment to you, or gave you any false hope, neither did i say that i love you. Did i?" He asked her, in a very cold tone. She looked at him through her teary eyes. It's getting difficult for her to even breathe. "It was your eyes, the damn eyes. Who gave me the false hope. They say, "Eyes speak the truth," but what about mine? Couldn't you feel the sincerity within them, expressing my deep affection for you? Why didn't you see the love shining in them? Was it too complex to understand? Couldn't you notice the warmth as they gazed at you? They search for you in every corner, If only you realized how they silently echoed the emotions I couldn't articulate. They say, "Eyes never deceive." But what about yours? They played a trick on me when they met mine, painting a facade of a world that wasn't real. They made me feel loved, Leading me into a belief that crumbled, louder than your spoken promises. Why did they betray me? Was it your eyes or you that masked the truth?" He stayed still, not moving or saying anything at her statement. --

We're so close that I'm sure I'm inhaling his exhale and vice versa, with none of us giving a fuck about it. "Can't wait." He breathes out, slipping his index finger too, stroking faster and deeper and I grip the bedsheets tighter, waves of pleasure taking control as I groan with eyes shut, coming close. "Be mine?" He asks again and I could feel his eyes still trained on me. Unable to speak, I nod. "Words, Olivia. Words." "I- uh, fuck it, yes, I'll be yours," I reply with a hoarse voice, a voice I can't recognize. I let my hands go up to his hair, removing the band that held it together, so it'll fall in soft waves and I can run my hand through it freely. "Then, I think I'm also yours." So many thoughts were running through my mind as Liam and I stood there, face-to-face, ready to do something that could escalate my like for him or even change his perspective of me in a good or bad way. But, why was I so curious about kissing him? Part of me did want to know what it'd feel like, the other part reminded me that this was my first outside a relationship, and we couldn't count his. He sure was really experienced. In the midst of my thoughts, I felt Liam soft hand caress my cheek. My heart pounded in my chest, as he tucked a loose strand of hair behind my ear. His eyes were burning into mine, and I felt his hands travel down my back and around my waist. I felt breathless already. He gently pulled me in close to him, so close that I could feel his heart-beat against mine. An audible gulp escaped me, making him smile. A real one. I could feel the warmth in his voice as he whispered " Don't be scared, I'm not that horrible. " At that moment, I just trusted him. I nodded my head, as he tilted his and slowly leaned in. A wave of heat flooded my entire body as Liam drew me closer and closer, firmly sealing the gap between us. Oh God. This is it. Skylar tries to make the best out of the fact that she was getting married in a year to a perfect stranger, but he's antipathetic, reluctant-the list goes on, and she gets broken countless times.
