Abandoned. It titled all the newspapers for a week. A girl, not even six months old was left to die behind a trash bin in an alley near fourth and fifth street. It was never discovered what happened to her supposed single mother, Julie West, but after five years, she was presumed dead. The was girl sent to an orphanage where grew up without a family. The girl's name was Megan West, and she was me.

	I have lived in orphanages for as long as I can remember, but what happens when I'm given the opportunity to break my ties with my past and begin a new and possibly dangerous future?
