Morgan knew moving back to the mountains was a bad idea. Granted, staying in Chicago was never an option - there just had to be more of a reason why her wolf mother hightailed the hell out of Aspen, Minnesota before her older brother was even five years old.
But according to Morgan's father, Aspen was Jade's paradise; a place she would have wished to return to to raise her children after seeing the world. Morgan only wishes her mother could have been more specific. Aspen was certainly not a place she wanted to be, not with the blood gifts and carnal creatures that prowl the forest, seeming to thirst for her baby brother's blood. Not with the clans and marbled curses etched into the floorboards of her mother's old home. Morgan isn't sure she wants to be there at all, but it may be too late to leave. All Rights Reserved
