"None of us can chose our destiny, Merlin. And none of us can escape it." The Great Dragon, Kilgharrah
〽️〽️〽️〽️
If you had told Aurora a year ago that she had an important destiny she would've laughed in your face.
If you had told Aurora a year ago that she was going to be a servant she would've curse at you and probably hit you.
If you had told Aurora a year ago that she would find love in the form of a pratish, rude, dollophead prince she would've laughed and cursed at you. Not sure about the hitting you part, but it could be possible. Everything's possible in Albion.
Aurora was just a typical small village girl, just like her brother was just a typical small village boy. Well, unless you count their elvish features, big ears, unique eyes and that they were twins, which was very rare that time.
Oh, I forgot. They also have magic.
So, they stopped being normal small village kids when they were about two months old. Actually, they were never that kind of normal because they, unlike most sorcerers, had been born with it. That, of course, and lack of control in their early years, led them to getting in trouble a lot. They even reached a point where they accidentally revealed their powers to their mutual best friend. It was a given that they couldn't tell their mother that Will knew. Who knew what she would do once she found out? She could even send them away to an uncle or an aunt of some old friend for all they knew...
Turns out the truth can't stay hidden for long. Their mother did find out and made their fear come true.
She sent them away, to go live with her old friend, Gaius. He was the physician of the court in Camelot.
As Merlin and Aurora started their journey from their home, the place they grew up in, one of the few constants in their lives to the unknown, mysterious, magic banned city of Camelot they had no idea what the future held for them.
For, there they would meet their destiny and change Albion forever...
