"Almost there," I whispered out. My voice wearing down with the exercise I was making my body do. I reached out a hand, almost as if I was about to grab the sweet sign that let me know I was going to survive. My feet ached and just as I was about to leap out into the open world I tripped and fell to the ground, hitting my head off the cold, chilling surface. I blacked out for a second and when my vision returned I was being dragged back into the woods.All Rights Reserved

I was just laying down on my bed, cuddled up with a book, when I heard a faint creak on the stairs. The sound was muffled seeing as the door was shut, but I heard it nevertheless. My eyes wandered to the door and I tried to be as silent as possible in my attempt to locate another sound. My body was tense, but relaxed when I didn't hear another noise. I was drowning. I knew that. I also knew that the hands around my throat, pushing me deeper into the river water was the cause. What I didn't know was who was drowning me and why. It hurt thinking. I fought and fought, but I was getting weaker, and colder. The pain was overbearing. I couldn't breathe. My hair was straight above me along with my arms. My eyes were open and the water burned. A darkness started to pull me under, taking the pain away. I felt a small pressure around my waist, before the darkness completely consumed me. The last thing I remember is thinking, save me.

I have revamped the story please let me know how you like it I was sitting alone in the park, looking out over the frozen lake, watching the sun set. When I heard something behind me, *Snap* that made me jump, (it was hard not to). As the crackling sounds of leaves, and twigs under a heavy foot, it was larger than myself but also never said I was very big.
