Evening of the Abandoned Forest. A young, quiet dragon who hasn't discovered her powers yet.
When Cloud, her older brother, goes missing, Evening is understandably distraught. But when a mysterious dragon the same age as Evening crashes unconscious into her favorite clearing, he seems to have known where Cloud was. Even more so, the dragon, Pine, seems to think that there were other dragons, too.
With strange-skinned humans chopping trees to the east, and native humans beginning to feel unrest with the new species, Evening must find a new place for her family to stay.
Even if that means following a ridiculous dragon off to the Unknown.
