Meet Makenzie Jalloh. She just recently moved around to the hood they call Hilltop in some dirty low budget apartments with her crackhead of a mother. She's been struggling to take care of herself her whole life, and she has no idea what she did to deserve this living hell of a life. After all, she's been nothing but good to her mother, despite how much hate she has built deep inside. Besides that, she a straight A student, and she's already been accepted into a TON of colleges. She's starting a new school this year, which mean new kids, and new drama, which will just make her life worse than it already is. She's just hopes she likes her new life at hilltop.

Meet Keandre Foster. He's grown up around Hilltop and he's a drug dealer with his Father, known as DF. He's been running the hood for who knows how long, and nobody dares mess with him. When Keandre first lays eyes on Mackenzie though, he already knows she's different from the other girls, covering themselves in weave and makeup that just makes him sick. When he first tries talking to her, her shyness gets the best of her and she doesn't speak. Will he get Makenzie to fall for her, or is she another crush that doesn't really mean anything?
