It all started with a dream, a dream that became reality. Ash Haven didn't know what to think of what she had just dreamt of, but she didn't expect that the boy in her dream was real. Safe and Sound: The Short Memoir
Safe and Sound: The Short Memoir written by Elliot Parker. I've always written stories and music about my personal life. It was the only thing that would heal my scars and wounds. However, there was always a hidden layer of truth that I tried to shield from everyone in order to protect myself. Everything I write tends to be about my thoughts, feelings and emotions but in a way that I could keep them private. This essentially led me to bottle it all up and throw it far into the water. And then I was pulled underwater where I was going to have to face every part of my brain and heart in order to swim through the storm I became trapped in. This story was written about my life in ways I've never explored with writing. It was excruciating to look at my deepest insecurities, the feelings for a boy who never loved me back, and the most traumatic events I've had to experience, in the eyes. Writing a memoir that was originally for an assignment, turned into something more for me. It allowed me to revisit the past and try to explain them in my words, instead of rumors being spread faster than a forest fire. Sometimes you don't know you're hurting until you're being forced to sit in a locked room with your past. Realizing just how much pain and suffering I am still going through was tough, but it opened my eyes and allowed me to release the words I've been holding hostage for months. These four chapters were written about moments in my life that I've never shared with anyone before. I'm ready to tell my story. Kate has finally reached her senior year, the last year of high school life. She was looking forward to it because this is the year where everything will be put up as a good and last memory of high school. Until, her mother decided to go out of the city and moved her into a different school that she didn't even agreed on. Her life starts to turn into nothing but a mess. She was completely invisible on the current school that she was enrolled in. She feels as if her last year of high school life is not worth remembering. Not that she was expecting, she accidentally met the campus' playboy of their school. She doesn't want to get involved of any of him but the playboy insisted that he wants to be her friend? What will her high school life turned out to be? It all started in just one tiny accident. An accident that me and him, fell in love.

One sentence can change everything. Furthermore one sentence can determine your role. Friend? Or stranger? May made a mistake in her 2nd year of middle school. She accidentally told Drew something she shouldn't have. And then she lied to him, causing him to change into the man he is now. They are now in highshcool. But they are farther apart than the Sun and Earth. Their paths haven't crossed since then...and it seems like, they will never cross again. But some people just wouldn't let it end there. So what now? {completed and currently under construction for grammar mistakes/errors and need of revising and editing. Still alright to read tho ;)}

He was perfect. The kind of perfect I wish I could be. The kind of perfect we could've been if only he had liked me back. Everything started in those damn highschool hallways. When my stupid obsessions and delusions started to become reality. Or so I thought... He was perfect. The kind of perfect I wished this short story to be. I hope you will enjoy this solely based on real life story about a hopeless romantic girl who gets too attached to boys who won't even look at her, and a guy who's heart isn't ready to receive the love she wants to give him.
