Like Adopted by the Avengers, this book is about two mutant kids, Isabella and Lilliana. However these are not the 13 year old brats that were adopted by the avengers, these are the "sweet," "innocent," little 4 year old girls who live at Xavier's Institute for Gifted Youngsters.

" But despite it all, there was something inside her that recoiled at the finality of it. A selfish, fragile thing that still wanted something more. It was stupid -weak. She had accepted her fate, hadn't she? She had spent every waking moment since the Overlord's fall telling herself this was inevitable. That she didn't deserve anything beyond it. And yet, something burned at the edges of her resolve. Something she didn't want to name. Her eyes flickered toward the distance, toward the monastery standing tall against the dying light. She tried not to think about what she was leaving behind. About the few moments where-for just a breath-she had almost felt like something other than a ghost of her own mistakes. She tried not to think about him." " There had been nights when he swore he could still feel her fingertips tracing his skin, could still hear her voice in his ear, soft and teasing. A sick part of him had wanted to hold onto those moments, as if keeping them close would somehow make the betrayal hurt less. It hadn't." #1 in #Harumi #1 in lloydgarmadon
