Avery Glarkices. A small girl living in a huge ever-changing world. Society rewards good behavior and severely punishes bad. Some superiors had twisted minds, others deadly intelligent. Tortures and Torturesses, otherwise known as Torturie, are high up in power. They have the right to badly beat and even kill you without a second thought. And for this, citizens -especially ones who can't pay their way out of it- live their lives in terror and fear. Who's going to change that? Then comes the time that Avery and her peers are taken away to the heart of the world, 'Prime Sector 01', dubbed the 'National Empire' to test them and see if they got what it takes to work for the High Administration...and the results are astonishing. What choices will Avery make? How far is Avery willing to go to save what good is left in the world? How will she, and everyone else, cope with the new environments? What sacrifices must be made? With whispers of a raging zombie apocalypse coming from all corners of the Earth, will humanity fall together in place, or will the chaos break us further apart? Will the fear be overcome? Or shall they experience what is known as Fake Agony? A spin-off from the Hunger Games and Divergent, along with other famous novels, with knockoff reverences and coincidences that just fit, keep reading to see and experience what happens beyond the cover...~

Welcome to the future, written in the past. A mutant plague has rendered part of the population as zombie-like humanoids. They have a conscious mind though, but their craving for brains is a bit of an antisocial issue. Being mostly made up of impoverished individuals, it is not surprised that they got cured cheaply and lastly, despite being the main test subjects. Lochlyn is their representative. She just wanted an education beyond elementary school. A little luckier stricken part of the infected population evolved into reverents. Reverants have a feudal system over the zombies to "keep them in order". The luck may have had to do with them being upper-class when being treated. Basilica is their representative. At eighteen, she wanted body modifications, a job, and etc... as a rite of passage entering adulthood. At least that's what she was thinking. The more she was told no, the more she wondered what she could do. There are still uninfected humans left in the U.S.A. Most of them are middle-class. Katrina is their representative. She gained a family member, but lost two. She aches to find out why she can never return home again. The three eighteen-year-old females, along with their beaus, journey for truth, equality, justice, restoration, love, and freedom lead them to the same end: the capital.
