Do you like Bandit Keith Howard? Do you feel like his character was underutilized, under-appreciated, and given a crappy ending because there was probably too much danger that he would overshadow the other characters and end up getting his own spin-off series? If so, then you should read this story.
I love Bandit Keith. Sure, he's a complete asshole, but he is the only one that ever seemed to notice the ridiculousness of the situations and characters and poke fun at it. Despite the fact that he himself is a totally ridiculous character. In conclusion, I love Bandit Keith. So I wrote this story:
Lola is an Australian foreign exchange student living in Japan when Pegasus begins Duelist Island. Thus, the battle for the title of Duelist King begins. However, Lola is not that good at cards, in fact, if it wasn't for certain circumstances, she wouldn't be there at all! Now though, whether she likes it or not, she's got to battle to win. Along the way, she meets new friends (Yugi and his group) and someone who might be more than a friend (Bandit Keith ;).
Can she win against all odds? Or will she get sidetracked by a certain American Card Professor? Read and find out in...THE HAND YOU'RE DEALT.
"You're different from what I expected," she said softly.
"How so?" he asked, glancing at her.
"I don't know," she replied, searching for the right words. "You just... have this way of making people feel like they matter. Even here, in this... nightmare."
He was quiet for a moment before responding. "You matter, Y/n. Don't forget that."
OR
Y/n wakes up in the deadly Squid Game, surrounded by strangers and fighting to survive. What she doesn't know is that the mysterious Frontman is watching her every move through the cameras- and she's caught his attention.
