Descendant Of The Sun

Sixteen year old Aspen Pinehurst is a descendant of the sun. Orphaned and adopted by Pinehursts, the family is in for a shock when she receives a letter of enrolment into a school of the elite and powerful.

One of the oldest to ever be accepted into the School of Mortal Descendants, she struggles to settle in and compete at the same level as the others. Slowly falling behind, a boy they call Issac volunteers to tutor her when their frantic year instructor gives up on her. She finds herself drawn to Issac, and although his negligence of her affections is irritating, it only draws her closer to him.

With the Winter Trials nearing, Aspen is faced with the brutal training involved and the danger that looms ahead as they draw nearer every day. Will she be able to harness her powers and survive the Trials, or will she fall behind and face expulsion, forced to live as a forsaken; banished to the mortal world. Was leaving England a good idea afterall?
