Crossing The Prairies
The Oregon Trail diary of Pepper Lewis
1845
Fourteen-year-old Pepper Lewis and her family consisting of her Pa, Ma, and twin brother Wade, travel from Intendance Missouri to Oregon on a wagon train.
During this six month journey they will face the beauty of Alcove Spring as well as the gushing waters of the Big Blue River, new life as well as lives lost, death in dangers animals, such as snakes as well as in seemingly harmless plants, the sun burning down upon their skin as well as feeling the fear of freezing to death, they will make life long friends and they will meet those who they shall never truly trust.
But the story is still to be told. Some of the things really happened and other may not have, you will have to decide for yourself which is which.
This story is based off one of my childhood favorites 'Across The Wide And Lonesome Prairie' therefore, I don't own the rights to the story nor do I own the characters.
I did change the year from 1847 to 1845.
