The Son We Didn't Raise

1 part Complete Mature

Canon Universe Divergent. Crocodile reunites with Dragon as he has some questions! Now I was properly angry, "You did not raise him?" I turned my gaze to the Dragon. "Who was the adult that raised him?" "Vice-Admiral Garp." The brunette answered. "Sabo here almost met with death at the hands of a Celestial Dragon and lost his memories, he regained them only recently. Luffy, Ace and Sabo were all put in the care of mountain bandits, who were under Vice Admiral Garp's protection. You can guess the environment they grew up in." Every new piece of information that I gained was infuriating me. Mountain Bandits, of all the people to leave children with. Why did I think a pirate ship would be an unsafe place for a child? Anywhere in this world could become unsafe for a child, all we needed were human scum. "Thank you, I appreciate you cutting to the chase. So, your father, Garp, raised the boy? Or did he treat the mountain bandits as a day-care service" I tapped on the bounty poster. "How did he get this devil fruit?" "I don't know." Without breaking an expression, Dragon replied. "I learned it two years back, I think he procured it at an early age." "You don't know?"
