When I reflect on my life after my mother's death, it seems like some twisted dark fairy tale parents would tell their children so as to teach them a lesson. Circe, my stepmother beats me into the ground because of a strange hatred inside her, my father wanders around half drunk because of her and because of my Dark Fey heritage, I was labeled a traitor.

So when my escape came in the form of a strange prince, I took it. I didn't trust him, I didn't love him but he was all I had.

Little did I know I was much more than a bride to him. I was the last piece of the puzzle, "the bait to the trap," as he says.

Now I am part of a dark hunt, one I cannot run away from.
