Ginny and Ron Weasley were always the closest of friends. When Fred and George would play a prank, or Percy would tell them off, they always had each other to count on to sympathize or scheme with. When Ron left for Hogwarts, Ginny couldn't wait to go, too. Think of all the fun they could have, two Weasleys together at an amazing places like Hogwarts. With Fred and George's glorious tales of the school fresh on her mind, Ginny bid Ron goodbye and began her eager wait for his return.
When Ron comes home for the summer holidays, though, something has changed. Suddenly, he doesn't want to play with his "baby" sister anymore. He's got real friends now, and Ginny gets shunted to the side. It doesn't help that her replacements are the famous Harry Potter and the brilliant Hermione Granger. Suddenly, Hogwarts doesn't seem so fun, and when Ginny ends up in a train compartment all by herself for the entire ride to Hogwarts, a little bitter and very lonely, something happens that could change the course of her life forever.
