You're working at the local farmers market when you meet Bucky and catch his eye, not only because you're the only one who sells plums, but because you treat him like a normal person. As a friendship begins to bloom,it quickly grows into a relationship and you learn that life with Bucky isn't as easy it originally seemed. Author's Note: Not every aspect matches with the Marvel films or comics. I chose to include and ignore some of the choices Marvel made for various reasons. Just know going in that not everything lines up with the storyline Marvel created and that is done on purpose. I do not own any art used.

You and Bucky Barnes have been friends for a while now, he's practically your best friend. Sure, there's always been a spark, something unspoken simmering just beneath the surface, but you've both been careful not to cross that invisible line. Until now. When a situation forces you to fake being in a relationship, everything changes. What starts as a pact between friends quickly turns into something more complicated, more intense... and far more dangerous for your heart. Because the hardest part of pretending to be in love with Bucky? Trying to remember where the line between friendship and something real was ever drawn in the first place. Author's note: In this story, there are no superheroes, just ordinary people living normal lives. A more grounded version of the Marvel characters we know. I don't own any of the characters; all rights belong to Marvel. Also, just a friendly reminder: English isn't my first language, so I may go back and correct any spelling or grammar mistakes along the way. Thank you so much for reading, I truly hope you enjoy the story!
