What comes to you mind when you hear the word "Fantasy"? Maybe magic? I'm not much of a reader but I think magic is one of the most used elements when it comes to writing fantasy novels. I love magic, but I also love machines. Thus, I've decided to mash them up together. I made a story based on the figments of my imagination. I don't know if I died or not, but the moment I regained my consciousness, I was already standing on a field full of grass and surrounded by trees. "W-what is that...?" A screen was floating in front of me. 「 Welcome, new adventurer! 」 "Adventur...rer?" But..... I'm so small! My body is the size of a 9 year old kid! And I don't even know what the hell happened to me. After I read some information on the screen, I was amazed that the world I was in was like a VRMMORPG. Magic exists and so does the level. "Huh?" I think of the story like this: This isn't the story of a hero slaying a dragon and rescuing the princess. Nor is this a story about a hero who triumphs over evil and rescues the maiden in peril. This is the story of a man, who fights as much with himself, as he does the world around him. He is no hero, he is simply a man, trying to make the best he can of himself, and fix what he broke. He is both the protagonist, and antagonist of this story, because he does as much harm to himself as he does good.

Chronicles of a Mage, Book One by Note_The_Worthy

About a year and a half ago as of when this story is being uploaded I had the random inspiration to start writing a book. At first I only wrote for fun but now I realize that there's no reason not to share my stories with the world. Granted, this was written when I was younger and looking back I can see my writing wasn't great and at some times makes me cringe so that my eyes recede into my brain. The story itself takes inspirations from an amalgamation of all the games and anime I've played and watched over the years but chief among these are the Fire Emblem and Mushoku Tensei series and this is pretty damn evident right from the first chapter. In fact, I'd wager that at least half of the characters are taken straight out of Fire Emblem, even the main character. But I digress. For those who have read this far, I thank you from the bottom of my heart. And for those who want to read my stories, I hope they give at least a modicum of enjoyment. (Also I should mention that the cover art is AI generated. Cope. )

The Suggestion Box, Vol. 4: A to Z Challenge by KartheyM

Back in June, I decided to take the "A to Z Challenge", which usually involves writing something centered around one word corresponding to each letter of the alphabet. It being a short story challenge, occurring weekly, I decided to "up the ante" to incorporate the rules of a Suggestion Box list (Name, Place, Time, and Object) and turn it into the next iteration of this series! Forthwith, I went through every letter of the alphabet and tried to look back over any previous story that I'd written (except the fanfiction) to find characters whose names began with each letter. Most of the time, I could find a character from a previous Suggestion Box installment (so be sure and check out the referred "original stories", always noted at the beginning of the tale!) but I also took the opportunity to use characters from other unfinished novels, and even a few opportunities for tie-in stories to my published novella, "Princess of Undersea."
