After meeting a human boy for the first time as a child Hime decides humans aren't too bad as other mermaids say. After her sisters and two princesses are captured by the evil orginzation Pavane, Hime has to go live as a human on the surface. She is the only successor to the North Pacific throne and must find and save the other Pearl Princesses to combine the special powers of their Pearls to defeat Pavane all the while trying to win the hearts of two gorgeous guys who could be the boy she met on the surface many years ago. But theres one draw back. If she tells them who she really is then she'll turn into sea foam!

Before Lucia tries to get out of the water, she was suddenly transformed into a mermaid by the two white witches. There are two ways to break the spell before her time is up by the next month. If Lucia gets a kiss by the merman, she'll be a mermaid for all eternity. If the princess gets a kiss from the prince on land, she will be human again. If not, she will be lost in the world of water. Although terrified, he moves forward to help untangle her as no one else is moving. He prays that she'll forgive him. Worry forms when she takes a lock of his hair. Was that a way of marking him? Regardless, he doesn't fight, not wanting to make it worse. Worry increases when she's spotted again. Muriel begins to develop a crush on Prince Philip after he frees her from the net. When her sister's displeasure with her grows worse, Muriel seeks to avoid it. In a desperate attempt to do so she finds herself cave of the sea witch Minerva. Philip's kindness remains prominent in her mind when Minerva offers her a choice to be a human. Hesitantly she agrees, unaware of how different the human world from hers.
