A woman named Ainsley lives in a house, with her daughter, Ivy, and her transparent boyfriend, Kieran. Her boyfriend is never home, and spends most of his free time in the local bar, hitting on younger, more attractive women. He's there, but never really there, which makes him transparent. One night, he gets lucky at a motel, and ends up engaged the next morning.
Ainsley's heart is emotionally connected to a clock. The clock falls off the wall in the kitchen, breaking, and Ainsley's heart stops. She is rushed to the hospital, and is immediately scheduled for heart surgery.

What will Kieran do, so Ainsley never finds out about his constant affairs, and his secret engagement?
What will Ivy think when she purposefully finds out?
