After the Terra Apocalypse, the only remaining country in the world is the country of New Rome. New Rome is in civil war with itself, divided against the North and South.

Every time I close my eyes is the same. I see a boy in my dreams. A boy who can't see but can see. I can't remember anything before I was five, and I think I'm a monster.

June Castor, the First Daughter of the North of New Rome, takes the Test that decides her career when she is chosen as a Soldier. There she meets a mysterious boy who makes her realize that the North she envisioned is nothing as it seems.

Empire. At the end only Empire remains. No matter how many times you rebel Empire remains. No matter how many times you fight for your democratic Empire remains. Now bend for your emperorr. Welcome readers to my fantasy world. I have brought you something beyond the constraints of my imagination, and I wonder if many are ready for it; however, a good story must be told, and I am fortunate to be the one to tell it. Imagine a world where the vile nature of mankind creeps its ugly head as humanity faces its first and last major catastrophe. The world plunged into everlasting darkness, entrenched in chaos and disorder, where hope is a distant flitting memory. The story I propose to my fellow readers follows Anthony Verdun, who was only a boy when all he knew was taken from him in an instant. Like many others, on that day, those who survived lost a part of themselves, forever scarred by the family, friends, and loved ones they lost. Their lives changed forever; how could it not? I welcome you to join the world I have created, indulge in this hypothetical, and dive into this what-if. What that is, well, you would have to read to find out. Weekly chapter uploads, so stay vigilant. Here is the link to the community discord, where we can discuss the book further. Aletheia (The Seventh River, Book 1) by Megan_Tennant
9 parts Complete Mature
The first book in The Seventh River series, Aletheia, takes the young adult dystopian genre to new, and often dark, places. While coming highly recommended to fans of the Hunger Games, Maze Runner, and Divergent, readers will find a gut-wrenching, original plot that dares to stand apart from what is expected of the genre. Brilliant and brutal, Aletheia is praised for tearing deep emotions from even the toughest reader. Whether you enjoy post-apocalyptic, dystopian, or general science fiction, reviewers agree, Aletheia is a must read. Nearly two decades after the fall, the transcendent city of Iris is the only place rumored to have a cure to the disease that decimated the world. Beyond Iris, are the remnants of the old world, crawling with the Depraved. Infected with Lethe, they no longer remember the people or dreams they were once willing to fight for, and are left instead with familiar voices that whisper dark and unfamiliar words within their minds. Instinct is all that keeps the diseased struggling to exist another day. Deep underground, below Iris, exists a compound, prison to the Nameless who traded their freedom for the cure to Lethe. It is here that 736 fights to protect those she loves. Not against the Depraved that she's taught to fear, but against the society that saved her from that fate. She was willing to trade away her rights to regain the ability to form memories, but she won't let the cult that cured her treat the lives of the Nameless like a resource to be used and discarded. At least, not without a fight. How much is 736 willing to sacrifice for revenge against her captors? For those she cares about? For freedom? Everything has a cost, what would you be willing to pay?

No one ever knows the whole story... Nestled deep in the forests of the Pacific Northwest, something is emerging. Kept in absolute secrecy, it seeps into a fading town, quietly shared from person to person. For Alden Bensen, a directionless high school graduate, this discovery could mean an escape from his empty existence. To Rachel DuValle, perpetually underestimated and dismissed by the world, magic represents a chance to become something much greater than herself. In the face of an unsuspecting world, their decisions shape the growth of a budding society discovering untold power. This potent force offers anyone the power to change humanity forever - or send it cascading into swift and total annihilation. ----- The Last Science is an ongoing science-fiction / low-fantasy web novel series. New chapters will be posted on Fridays for as long as it takes to tell the whole story. For Wattpad only, chapters are split up by individual scenes-if you would prefer the whole chapters in single pieces, please visit my homepage or another site where I post this story, thanks! In American rating parlance, the narrative would be rated PG-13 (except for language), but some have noted the story can get pretty dark on occasion. UK has been going through some tough times with Brexit and parliament and his kingdoms are becoming reckless and want to break free. No one knows about UK's condition apart from France so how will he be able to tell his sons that he will be gone soon and replaced? Will UK's problems bring back old enemies? I guess you'll have to read the book and find out... !Includes!: •Swearing •Fighting •Countryhumans (some shipping involved) •Biased opinions on history I wrote this book at a young, impressionable and stupid age. This has meant not all of this story is historically accurate, as above, some of the historically accurate parts may be biased to a certain opinion(e.g. when talking about past events a country will see it as bad or good, who was on the 'good side' and 'bad side' etc.) This story is fictional and not meant to offend anyone in anyway. Sorry if HC's seem to change in the book and the characters personality is everywhere, I don't quite have my own HC's on countries yet and am influenced on others HC's. (This is my first ever Wattpad story! So I'm very nervous and sorry if I make mistakes. I was inspired to write this story by mention of it and am not trying to copy anyone but please let me know if there are any problems, thank you!) !! If you're a reader/seeing this on another site that is not Wattpad, then my book most likely got copied and pasted onto an unsafe fanfiction app page. !! (Front cover was made by me. I used a reference photo but I couldn't find the original owner, sorry.)
