Ethan is a pessimist. He hates nearly everything. To him people suck, and that's one of the only things he can rely on. He's the nerdy kid at school, prefers to go by un noticed, his head buried in a book. He was never really a happy kid, and believes that everything will let you down. Not knowing how to be happy, he runs from the hypo football player, Josh, who is one of the popular kids at school, always with a smile on his face and something to laugh about.
Josh had always been a hyperactive kid. Couldn't sit still or listen. Finally his parents took him to be tested and it turned out he had ADHD. He was a happy kid, despite having trouble in school because he could never stay focused enough to do tests, or assignments. When he meets Ethan one day by accidently tackling him to the ground he is instantly mesmerised, by the boy behind the book and thick-rimmed glasses. He makes it his goal to show Ethan there is such a thing as happiness and that he can have it too, but Ethan doesn't give him an easy time of it.
Can Josh save Ethan from himself before it's too late? Can Ethan find the courage in his heart to except that there is such a thing as love and happiness and Josh might be the one to give it to him?
Elliot Jensen and Elliot Fintry have a lot in common. They share the same name, the same house, the same school, oh and they hate each other but, as they will quickly learn, there is a fine line between love and hate.
