Markus and Diego are two normal teenagers from Earth, until they get kidnapped by Ariyza Naz'ere, a Warrior -a soldier- from Exzhorzilis: a far-off planet located in the Andromeda Galaxy. They're only a few of the numerous sentient species gathered to study in Galaxio Initiation, Exzhorzilis' prestigious military academy. Bernard is a street kid from Gorvon, a planet that's part of the Ten, an alliance of spacial superpowers. His only goal was to survive the streets until an envoy gave him a chance: To join Initiation. On the opposite side of Gorvon, Zsetzse struggles against an abusive family, a demanding school and no hope for a promising future. When things are about to take a turn for the worst, Exzhorzilian Warriors come to her aid and offer her a chance to become an Initiate at Exzhorzilis. Suddenly, she has an opportunity better than she had ever hoped for: make friends, and start a promising career in the military. On Exzhorzilis, Raina and Meena, two best friends, struggle to live up to their family's expectations. While their family holds a strong legacy of military success, neither of the friends feel as if they have what it takes to make it to Initiation. Nothing would be more disgraceful than not making it to Initiation. When the Initiation test malfunctions and kids end up dying, the six know that something has gone horrendously wrong. In the vast expanse of space, Oberon, a charismatic space pirate, watches over the chaos of his own hand, waiting for the perfect moment to strike. Carefully engineering disorder and chaos in the Ten, he waits patiently to take over. As there is more death and destruction, chaos ensues throughout the Ten. As they assemble an army to fight Oberon, Markus and his friends take matters into their own hands and try to unravel a web of darkness and deceit. When their findings lead them straight to Oberon, they have no idea that they'll unravel secrets that could change their very lives...

"Those aliens are not my concern, the Earth and her populations are. Now, Callisto of the Scout Regiment to Salutem, as a citizen of this planet and a soldier under my command-" "I stopped being a soldier a long time ago. And those aliens have done nothing to you, you didn't even know they existed until I told you about them. I joined this mission not because I was ordered to, but because I wanted to carve my name in history. But I will not mark my namesake as a murderer of the very first species we have found that is on par with human intelligence! If my legacy is to be the protector of those you refuse to acknowledge, then so be it." The room hissed and flowed with whispers and gossip between the different board members, like a waterfall being heard through thick earmuffs. The only voice to be clearly heard was Director Striker himself. "You are rooting for a lost cause, soldier. It is the manifest destiny of us humans to reach out and touch the stars. And if the only way to touch those stars is to sacrifice a few savages, then that is what we must do." Callisto felt her anger towards a man she once admired swell in her chest and wash through her veins with a burning fire. He was proposing mass genocide simply because he wanted what belonged to them. The wheel of history turns, but nothing is ever new it seemed. "Have you read a history book in your life, Director Striker? Manifest destiny is used a mere few pages before a genocide. It's not a motivation, it's an excuse." ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Fair warning: this is my very first original story so please be kind to my baby, she is a lifelong passion and a labor of love. •••COMPLETED••• •Please do not copy or post anywhere outside of these pages.
