Once upon a time, there was a pretty young girl that had no clue that werewolves and vampires and what not existed. And then a werewolf bit her. That's where the similarities between Annabeth Moonlight and what she believes to be the "fairy tale world" end. But a werewolf can only ever have one mate at any given time, as Annabeth has learned. So one is real, and the other is faking it, to put it simply.
