Confused and jaded since graduate school, Esa is willing to go to extremes to find her true purpose.

She attends a weeklong art festival in the desert where she meets a middle-aged shaman who tells her he can help her, but first she must do everything he says. When she agrees, he sends her off on a "Vision Quest" in Black Rock City.

But the city isn't as friendly as she imagined. At her first stop, an angry gypsy magician curses her with blindness.

The only way to undo the spell is to drink a special tea out in the deep dark desert before sunrise. But when the tea gets stolen, Esa loses her only protector and must face her biggest fear: journeying out in the darkness alone.

Esa must fight off her inner demons and the physical brutality of the desert's conditions, to regain her vision. But above all, she must establish her faith in the cosmos and its plan for her life on Earth.

Mirabel Rhodes lived a life in a boarding school that was situated under the ground. Never had she seen a ray of sun or a twinkle of stars but only heard about a world that existed above them in books. Her foster family prepared her and hundreds of girls for a deal that they were never told about. When she turned sixteen, they opened them for sale to the scientists and werewolves for experiments. Afraid, she took the chance that she believed was necessary to save herself and someday them, even if it could end her life. She ran away far and clueless until she accidentally trespassed the territory of Blood Moon pack. Lucky for Mira, the Alpha of the pack was on a run before pack warriors could find and kill her for a rogue. He took her to the packhouse, treated her wounds and gave her space to start a new life. For Alpha Maximus, she should have been a recovery case, but she was more than that. Mateless for a decade, he couldn't understand why he was getting attracted toward a barely adult human. She made him and his wolf feel things that they never experienced before. For two years, he had been in the shade until the night came to answer his confusion. His suspicion turned into reality when he smelt her and found out she was his mate. A human for a mate, but that wasn't the issue, the issue was mating season and him being on heat. Guess what could make her run away from the generous Alpha and turn him into a cruel, closed-off brute? And how would he react when secrets would unveil, truth start to unfold and attraction turn into a feral obsession? Carolina Mercado is just your average college student with your average college student problems - submitting assignments, struggling to pay rent, dodging annoying roommates. But that all changes when she takes a trip to Egypt in attempt to find some adventure. Instead she finds a cursed tomb, and unknowingly reawakens an ancient feud. It's not until she returns home to New York City where she meets a certain young, new CEO to a multi-million dollar company that she realize she can't run away from the mummy's curse forever. ....................................................................................................................................... Bony arms wrap around me and drag me backwards. As if a switch was flipped, I can suddenly feel my body again and I rip myself away from the monster. The second I turn around, I'm faced by the same decaying face I saw in the tomb as well as in the bar. I slowly take a step back, but I soon find I can't go further when a wall suddenly appears behind me out of no where. The mummy slowly steps towards me and with every step he takes, he changes. His skin regenerates and the paleness fades away. He's nearly a step away from me when I start to notice a certain familiar chiseled jawline, familiar deliciously full lips, and familiar aristocratic nose. His devilish red eyes change into an icy blue that are piercing my soul. NOTE: Updates every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday afternoon (EST).

49 parts Complete

In Kara's village at the age if fifteen your wings are freed from the chains that have bound them. Once you can fly you must cross the White Desert, a land covered almost entirely in ice and snow, and the inhabitants are not all friendly. Gods and goddesses of myth live with in the constraints if the dimension beside creatures of flight and fancy; beside them hide those of dreams, be they day dreams or the darkest nightmare. Kara and her freinds now must find out how to survive in a land where little is what it seems and a villain can be made of a hero or a hero made of a villian. Atop all this sits Fate, pulling strings to make her puppets jump and keep things intresting, because she has always loved a good show. Until the show started to change, when one little girl in particular wants things to change, because if leaving means Death, well Fate has another thing coming, a new Queen is coming. This story is going to be for the most part unedited. I'm going to try to start editing soon. Some violence.
