Based on your birth your given a job. When you turn 16 you are tested. This test shows what bloodline your parents belong to. Your bloodline chooses your future. People ofhigh society and wealth have "winged blood". Those with this type of bloodline go to private schools. Those with less wealth and are part of low society have "clipped blood". They aren't aloud to go to school and are supposed to work labor jobs. What happens when a girl is born from a mother with "clipped blood" and a father of "winged blood".

It's a race to the finish line in teams of four and you could either become a higher or lower number depending on when you reach the end. This was created in hope to give those with lower numbers a chance to climb up the ranks. The Trial then developed into more.
