How to Hide in the Moonrise (An OHSHC Story)

He remembered that day. Too well, he remembered. He'd thought he'd known her, he'd thought they were best friends that could never be separated. He'd actually been close to telling her that he loved her. But he hadn't thought she was still so depressed.

Now, he'd found a girl so like her, and yet so different. And you know what? He couldn't ask for more.

Yoshi had always been a loner. Not by choice, of course, but by necessity. His mother left when he was young, taking her with him, and he had had to fight to go back to his father. He'd been bullied almost all his life, and he didn't want to drag anyone down with him-not that anyone even wanted to be his friend. And the only friend he'd ever made-the only person he'd ever really loved-had committed suicide the last day of school of the same year they'd met.

Now he was an adult two years later, and he'd just started college to take over his father's publishing business. And one day, he meets a childish, boisterous woman with "her" eyes, and suddenly his life changes for the better.

She was everything he'd ever wanted.
