Being a hero is not all it's cracked up to be. Late nights, constant danger, minor injuries, and secrets no one can know--being a head engineer at Wayne Enterprises by day and a vigilante by night can be tough. But, Katherine Walker has what it takes. With the street and book smarts, not to mention killer kick boxing and jui jitsu experience, Kat knows her way around Gotham. She has also made an impression with the underground crime that is running rampant all over Gotham. As Bruce Wayne is watching over her like a hawk in the office and the Batman is attempting to track her down in the streets, Kat has her work cut out for her. But she is determined as ever to be her own hero.

(Book Two of Gotham Girls Trilogy) At the beginning of the school year, Leilani Cooper thought her life would be the same as always - she'd talk to some people, they'd talk back and that would basically be the extent of her relationships. But when she finds herself locked in the same room as the infamous 'Scarecrow', all her values and relationships change. She meets Nightwing - the distant god of the Batfamily. The following day, she is introduced to Dick Grayson and everything starts to go downhill. Her logic and her heart are both torn apart between the two, and she has to decide who is more important to her - and fast.
