Evelyn Pratte is an eighteen-year-old girl who was accepted into college very young due to her vast knowledge. She is living in an apartment building with her best friend and roommate, Chavvi Callyan. Evelyn has been alone for a very long time. She lost her mother when she was born and her father left the family shortly after, never to be seen again. Evelyn was left alone with her brother Everest in an abusive foster home. When they were both old enough, Everest joined the military and was deployed and Evelyn got a scholarship to college and moved away.
