I didn't want to move in with grandma, but mom said it was all we could afford. I guess it was the loneliness that got to me at first, I mean, we used to live in a condo near the beach, so there was always something happening, but now, just quiet. Oh, and the bugs, that sucks too, but it was really the silence that I couldn't stand, so I found myself on walks, if you can even call it that, hiking more like, but regardless, that's when I saw him. He was standing in the moonlight, shirtless and panting, like he'd just fought off some demonic force, and then he collapsed at my feet.
