So a long time ago, unsatisfied with the level of detail and plot provided by Jessica Burkhart's Chosen, I decided to write my own version. I only wrote a little bit of it, but I figured I would post some of it to see if there was any interest. It's one one of the less unbearable childhood writing attempts of mine, so we'll see how you like it. Please bear in mind that that I wrote this around age 13, so it's definitely no literary masterpiece. It's unlikely that I will return to write more, but that could change. Against my better judgment, I will post this for all to see!

A story about a girl and a horse, broken without each other. After a bad horse back riding accident while jumping, Krista is left with an intense fear of jumping. Please don't read this, I wrote it in middle school and it's really bad. I just don't want to delete it because some people might get mad at me ;-; Maybe someday I will rewrite it. "What kind of fairytale is this? Where's the happy ending?" The little girl, approximately 7 years old, asked her mother. "That's what I wanted to teach you May, you should know now, that life isn't always going to have a good end. Bad things are going to happen, and if you play them off and ignore them, it will only worsen," May's mother explained. May nodded slowly. +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Once upon a time, is how most fairytales start. Then, they end with a happily ever after. But not this story... There once was a prince, who fell in love with a girl. But she wasn't a princess. She was the hand maiden of a nobleman's daughter, who had eyes for the young prince. The prince and girl fell in love, but couldn't be together, for the nobleman's daughter grew jealous when she found out, and ordered them to be killed. This story was called "The Lover's Curse." As it passed down, generation through generation, it became known as only a legend, a myth. But it was true. +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ It's up to May and Drew to break the hold destiny has on them, to fight for their own way.
