Checkmates Forever

Violet has always known there is something different about her. She has always been shy and sensitive. She likes rainy days and dying her hair purple and wearing lots of dark colors. Most of the time she hates school because she gets teased relentlessly and her best friend has made a new best friend and never wants to hang out anymore. Violet's whole world changes when a boy named Albert stands up for her and a new teacher arrives at the school. The new chess teacher is a strange old lady but somehow she seems to understand Violet and can help her harness her strange powers. With her new found friends in the Checkmates chess club she finally opens up again to friendship and finds fun and adventure!
