Cat Noir is the resident hero of Paris, France. Everyday, he fights villains who've been possessed by the evil Hawk Moth's akuma. When he's not clad in leather and fighting baddies, he's Adrien Agreste, a regular student and the model for his father's brand. He is adored by many, whether he's Cat Noir or Adrien.
Marinette Dupain-Cheng is the awkward, shy new student at Adrien's school. She usually spends her time drawing in her sketchbook and hanging out with her best friends, Alya and Nathaniel. She doesn't like drawing attention to herself, and prefers to live her life as a normal teenager.
One day, she is saved from danger by Cat Noir. Not only is she saved once, but she is saved multiple times. She thinks of Cat Noir as her savior, and begins to develop a close relationship with him, not knowing that he's actually her classmate, Adrien.

On top of being the guardian of said identity. Only one person knows her secret identity. The closer they get to figuring out who Hawk Moth is, the more complicated their life gets.
