Eira isn't human. Before they died, she and her siblings drank a potion that turned them immortal. Her siblings became creatures of the night, vampires, with an uncontrollable lust for blood.

But not Eira.

To preserve her soul, a nearby witch blessed her with light magic. Eira is neither vampire nor werewolf, and she isn't a witch, either. She's a faerie, living under a terrible curse-she's tied to a bloodline of humans for all eternity, and she hasn't seen any of her family for centuries. But when her master decides to move the two of them to a town called Mystic Falls, Eira senses that there could be a chance for change...and she's determined to seize it.
