The king of beasts

Wild untamed beasts roamed the land, killing many and injuring thousands. However everyone has adapted well enough to be able to handle these creatures. Conquerors, slayers, tamers, ect. these were people who were blessed with abilities to handle these monsters. Mostly everyone has an ability to kill a beast, everyone was raised to loathe them. But what will happen when someone steps out of the unwritten law of hating these creatures ? What will happen when said person becomes king of beasts? Death would be the assumed conclusion, but is there a way to combine both species. William would like to think No, no way in hell and stay the frick away from that mess.
