Autumnal Equinox - Sacred Orphic New Year

In Orphism, the Autumnal Equinox is the Mystic New Year, and is under the governance of Hestia, Goddess of the Hearth fire, the fire of the soul, and the fire at the centre of the Universe. She is the Demiurge, the first and last, the alpha and omega. She rules the sign of Libra which begins the sacred year. So I am just trying to sum up the various themes of the Autumnal Equinox and link them together in a short verse - Hestia as the ruler of the month and the "first and last" who brings in the new sacred year, Hephaistos her sacred consort, Demeter and Persephone who's mysteries are also celebrated around this time, the mysteries of Dionysos and the sacred objects - the toys of Dionysos.
