When Grace and Bucky's serendipitous meeting results in a blossoming romance they are convinced nothing will stand in the way of the life they dream of making together. That dream is turned violently upside down when Bucky returns home from war a very changed man - in more ways than one. Everything they had once known erupts into turmoil, but Grace isn't willing to go down without a fight. They had made a promise, to never give up on each other no matter what the tide brought in, and she intends to keep that promise. Through the strength of their love and her unwillingness to give up, Grace helps Bucky heal his wounds and reminds him of the man he once was.
