Kathryn Wang is the princess of her steampunk-like home country, Xagrus. The privileged life she was raised in made her grow tired of the royal lifestyle. She's days close to turning 16, which is also the day when her parents will arrange a marriage for her. She tries to forget about it by hanging out with her friend Thomas. They went to the top of a waterfall where a shadowy creature shoved her off the waterfall. 

After being shoved to her death, she activated her portal powers to get her to a safer landing spot. It instead sent her to another universe. Before she can figure out how she was able to travel through other universes, she needs to learn how to adapt to her surroundings while fighting against evil servants of darkness.
