So far Danielle's life had been going on well. Her parents were happily married and she could actually tolerate her older brother.

Until one day her mother decides to get a divorce and get married to another man. Danielle has no choice but to move to another state to live with a new family, go to a new school, make new friends and basically start life all over again. But worst of all is her new step brother, Jacob.

Jacob is known as the biggest bad boy in school and that is true to an extent. But what people don't know is that behind all the bad boy facade he puts up, is a very dark secret that is just waiting to be discovered.

Would Danielle be able to discover his dark secret and help him out? Or would she too be fooled by his bad boy facade?

Read to find out.

Complete! "You know I really like you, right?" He was definitely drunk. "You do?" I asked. My voice was supposed to be teasing, but I think it came off as a bit startled. He laughed, "Yeah, why else would I trust you with all my secrets?" -- Betty was many things; a romantic, a fashion designer, a bit more jealous than the average girl, great with a camera, a helpful daughter and a good friend. But she was best known for being nice. And usually, the boy did not want the 'nice' girl. But this summer she was going to prove to Mike, her crush since FOREVER, that nice was enough. She was going to have an amazing summer, a perfect Junior year, and finally have her first kiss. It was a foolproof plan. Moving from her childhood home in Arizona to New Mexico at the start of Junior year was never a part of Betty's plan. But sometimes when parents are involved, plans change. So now the nice girl had to start over at a new school in a new State. And when the (maybe not so bad) bad boy, Eli, gets involved, it might be hard to be known as 'the nice girl'.
