She couldn't just go missing, could she?
I mean after 3 years, I had finally gotten the balls to ask my best friend hope out on a date, and the day after she says yes, she's gone like a flash. Even her friends and my friends don't know what happened and the fact that we're taking the time and energy to search for says she obviously means something to us, and she couldn't have gone far. She had warned me that she was involved with some bad people and that they didn't think of me very fondly, but would they really take her away to make sure we weren't any closer than we already were?
I guess we'll see.
