When the torch fires bathed the forests and towns, and black fumes rose above the charred hills, she knew the hysteria had found the people of her village once again.

So she fled to the New World, where the churches mania had yet to reach. But her son is already begining the change, and word of witches have flittered about the mouths of men. With fear on everybodies minds, it's only a matter of time before they snap, and the great fires of the witch-hunts finds her home once again.

Basically the same deal with The Circle, except I actually did edit this a bit for a school magazine, so it shouldn't be too awful.

This story is set in the late 15th century american colonies, during the witch trials in salem and the like. This a sort of indirect prequal to my main story in this "Vampire-verse". The good news is this can be read independability to the main story, so you should be able to follow most of everything.

I love this a lot because of how much research I did on the time period and Witch-Hunts in general, and while I do add my own spin on this "alternate" history (Such as knights existing in this time, for reasons that i have fleshed out), I think for the most part you history nerds will have a bit of fun with this one.

Unless I have errors. Then we're both fucked.

Enjoy!

Her eyes widened slightly and her chin rose. She looked at his hands then back at him. His dark eyes gleamed in a challenge. "You've not harmed me or mine, faery." She spoke out loud. "Blood does not scare me and neither do you. Keep your dog on its leash." Then she turned and calmly walked back inside. It was the same one that she had laid her head on every night. His head went into the pillow heavily for a moment, breathing in her faint scent. He hated and treasured dreams like that with equal fervor. He rolled over on his back and stared at the ceiling. It had been decades since she'd been forced to break that promise. He lifted his hand and touched the ring that had been her last gift. It had been decades, but it was yesterday. ***I did not skimp on the steamy scenes so consider yourselves warned ok? Adult Chapters: For story purposes, the chapters are written in the adult versions and then edited for PG-13. (This helps me understand where my characters are going.) But I am also uploading them here to be read freely as they come up. :) This is for the Prequel, Hunted & Hunter The appeareance of two injured, sick and panicked non-pack werewolves, known as mutts, in New York is usually not a cause for alarm. It's easily dealt with. But two female mutts, appearing out of no where, already months into their changes, this is a cause for alarm. There should only be two female werewolves in the world- Elena and her five year old daughter. So where have these two come from? Elizabeth, an Australian, is one of those new mutts, and running from her past is something she's keen on doing. Even her mind's in on denial- she remembers nothing since coming to America months back, except flashes of torture, torment, and her own stubborn will to survive when others haven't. Yet somehow she can trust the American werewolf pack, though she can't understand why, and allows them to offer her and her friend safety from those who would bring her back to pain, torture and to a man who still haunts her with the name 'Master'. He isn't the only man that haunts her though. Someone else in the pack seems to remember her too. Jeremy, the Alpha of the American werewolf pack, and Elena, the alpha-in-training, are brought face to face with a new Alpha, his pack and his attempt to claim America, kill off all the pack werewolves, and to capture Elena and her daughter for himself. Only with the assistance of 'Anne', as Elizabeth now calls herself, and Pav can they know where to start looking.

"THE AFTERLIFE CAN BE A REAL BITCH, RIGHT?" "Henri-" I began, but Henri's hand snatched up mine and squeezed tightly enough to break bones. I bit my tongue to hold back a cry. It was a warning. "Maria didn't say anything about a couple of vampires wanting to meet with her," the green-haired warlock spoke after the area had stilled with electrified silence. I looked Henri's way, and that's really when our situation caught up with me. Wait... "Maria..." I murmured in remembrance, then sent Henri a glare. "Why are we here to see Maria Day? If you don't remember, let me remind you that I killed her friend. Hell, her master. She'll kill me when she sees me." Henri had the nerve to laugh softly. "You're already dead, Antoinette." "Thanks to you. There are other ways witches can hurt vampires, aren't there?" My eyes traveled shortly to the warlocks, Daniel and Zachary, and I shook my head. "She'll burn me alive! I'm not going in there." "You're overacting," Henri said with a dramatic eye roll with a worth of a slap across his face. Lucky for him, I kept my hands at my sides. This night was about to get dangerous... This is Book 3 of The Hunters Saga! 1st draft, so there WILL be mistakes!
