This story is about a 17 year old transgendered boy struggling to fit in. Jasper has been taking T since he was 13. His aunt helped him get it. Jaspers parents didn't like the fact that he was transgendered. They said it was just a phase and sent Jasper to many psychologists trying to "fix" him. Thomas should live in a time and age where people don't care about sexuality or gender identification but that isn't true as his mother refuses to think of him as anything other than her son and Thomas. To the people important in his life, Thomas is actually Ginger and a female. She's almost done with high school and ready to get out from under her oppressive mother's thumb and live the rest of her life how she wants to. This is a story I wrote for creative writing class. I wasn't intending to publish it so I didn't think much about the title. I did take the original title of A Glass Slipper by Jackson Terrance. I really loved this title and I was sad when they changed it.
