In another world and another time, something unthinkable happened--an Angel who guarded the young and innocent fell in love with a king of Vampires. They had to meet in secret, as their love was forbidden by all the laws of their world. All the while, their love grew stronger and stronger... But then, one day, the Angel was found out. She was told that, if she was to stay with her love, she would have to give up her wings. And she happily did--she gave up her wings and left Heaven. It seemed that her joy with her Vampire love would only increase--shortly afterward, she found out she was with child. The two were very happy and were wed soon after. But their joy was short-lived. When the Angel went into labor, she swiftly fell very ill. In a panic, the King offered his blood. But she refused. After their baby, a daughter, was born, the Angel died. What none could have predicted, though, was that the daughter would have an incredible gift. Because Order can only last for so long. Eventually, the powers of Chaos will have their say... Flower Girls
Caroline loves her new friend Lily. They do almost everything together. But as time goes on, it becomes more and more apparent that Lily is not everything she seems to be. Where did Lily come from, what is she hiding, and what's the real reason for their intense friendship? For those of you who are already familiar with my writing, I should let you know that this short story is nothing like anything else I've written. I wrote it as a birthday gift for a ten-year-old girl. She devoured the whole thing in couple of hours and when she finished, she told me she loved it. This ten-year-old girl is very girly, she likes unicorns and rainbows and magical worlds, but she also likes Sci-Fi and scary, threatening bad guys. As a result, the genre of this book is quite niche, and it may not be appropriate for every ten-year-old. There are some confrontations I would categorise as "mild peril." Spoiler Alert: If you're a parent looking for something for a child of a similar age, there are two deaths in this book and so you may want to check it out first because I recognise every child is different. (The girl I wrote is for said they weren't graphic deaths, and she was fine with both in the context of the story.) Anyway, she asked me to put it out there for others to enjoy, so ... enjoy.Complete
