** SEQUEL TO SPIRIT OF SHADOWS **

Em is shocked with the truth about her parents and has a hard time accepting the fact of her new life. Pulled apart from her friends, she faces new challenges about who to trust and who to avoid within the palace.

Matthias waits for contact with his sister, Adabelle, who is in Kachina's house in Mistshore. When she doesn't respond, Matthias begins to grow worried, and wants to find a way out of the palace without bringing attention to himself. Though, things get tricky when everyone's mirage spells wear off, leaving their faces un-altered and all too familiar within the palace's walls.

Kachina and Jonah want to return home as well but stay to help support Em throughout this life-altering event. All seems well until Kings Men find out the identity of Kachina and arrest her for being a Spirit user. Jonah is ultimately outnumbered against them and continues to stay undercover with Em until they can think of a better plan to rescue her.

Follow along on this continuing journey of Em and her friends in The Cursed Princess!

Salvage ~ V1: Nuts and Bolts (Steampunk/ Gaslamp Romantasy ~ FxM, MxM) by avaseofpeonies
47 parts Complete Mature
A Steampunk/ Gaslamp Fantasy Romance set in the industrial revolution era of a fictional world. Magic, mad science, multicultural ambiance, and political intrigue all tightly laced up into one corset and powered by the steam of two romances - one F/M and one M/M. For mature audiences, 18+. ~~~*~~~ All creations carry a trace of the maker's ethereal energy, whether deliberately placed in the magical Artifacts made by the Alchemists, or unwittingly left in the handiwork of ordinary people. Kazia can feel that energy, in both machines and people. She may not be able to do any of the grand magic other Alchemists can, but give her a damaged machine and she can trace its energy to the problem, and know precisely how to repair it. She does have one other ability. One far more dangerous. One she will never acknowledge, and will never use. Fleeing her villainous father rather than becoming his pawn, Kazia finds a peaceful life on a farm in a neighboring country, where no one knows that she is the daughter of Prince Gorvan Devratha. But with war looming between her birth country of Valesk and her new home in Caedra, how long can that peaceful life last? She can be safe in the Caedran capital, among the Queen's Alchemists, but will anyone there trust her - especially the handsome but embittered Lord Kelvaran Meratha, who suspects Kazia's father of murdering his family? Abrizhen is Kazia's older brother. He does his best to play the role of the Prince's good son and heir, but when tasked with retrieving his wayward sister, he must return to the city he'd called home for many of his youthful years. There he'll have to reckon with his past, and finally choose between the life of a dutiful prince, or the welfare of his sister - and the rekindling of an old flame. ~~~*~~~ Please see the introduction for detailed content warnings.

*Book 2 of The Shadowmarked Legacy* As Eryndor rebuilds under the rule of its new queen Selene begins her most personal dangerous mission yet-finding a way to free Kaelen from the realm of in-between where he is trapped, paying the dark debt of his magic. But the search for answers leads her into the shadowed depths of forbidden magic, where each step threatens to unravel her own soul. Old prophecies hint at a costly solution, but Selene is willing to face any consequence to bring Kaelen back. Meanwhile, word of Eryndor's new queen-one with no direct royal bloodline-has reached the neighboring kingdom of Alneth, where a ruthless ruler sees this as an opportunity to seize Eryndor for himself. As political intrigue and the looming threat of war grow, Selene finds herself pulled between her loyalty to Eryndor, her duty to the council, and her need to save Kaelen. But her heart is far from settled. With Kaelen caught in the veil between life and death, her bond with Taren has deepened in ways she never expected. As she fights to free Kaelen, she is forced to confront her growing feelings for both men-Kaelen, her mentor who sacrificed everything, and Taren, her childhood sweetheart.
