Anna's a normal girl.

Well, at least she wishes she was.

She watched her parents die in front of her when she was eight years old. Ten years later, she's lived her life in ignorance, attempting to regain the childhood innocence that was once lost. She only wishes to live normally ... like any other teen girl. Of course, it's hard when people keep looking at her with those pitying eyes.

The only thing she's retained from her trauma is a mild fear of congested social occasions and occasional nightmares. Otherwise, she's just your typical, straight-A, quirky girl who lives with her neighbors and crushes on her adoptive brother.

Okay, maybe she ISN'T that normal.

But one thing's for sure. Her life is flipped inside-out once she runs into the school's notorious troublemaker, who has just as much of a dark past as she does.

She just wants to be friends.

He just wants to avoid her.
