Jake Kral had just finished high school. Fresh out of one problem and straight into another. Jake's parents went missing when he was in fifth grade, his sister Sebrina had raised him until she left for college when he became a freshman. He lived on his own with special permission from the local government and paid for everything with checks sent to him by his sister and money earned from his job at a small restaurant.
It was a tedious life, but he kept up with his grades and had a small group of friends. As far as he was concerned, he was doing alright. The only issue happened to be the occasional "cash drought" while he was waiting for his sister's usual check and his work paycheck. It was a calm but peaceful life.
He was meeting Sebrina, who had just finished her junior year at college, for career and financial advice. As far as Jake knew, Sebrina was excellent in managing her expenses, after all, she managed to scrap some money to keep him on his feet. He knew that next year, he would have to work harder to help pay for his own college. Perhaps with some tips from Sebrina, he could support himself and not rely on his sister.
It was on this fateful day of reunion that Jake learns about his sister's knack for getting in trouble, or rather, his family's knack for getting in trouble.
